Hello today in teach we had to find out how they are going to make our rivers in hawke's bay clean and this is what i wright.

The tukituki river is polluted because if there is a river beside the farm and when the cows poop and when it rains the poop gets washed into the river. also when they spread fertiliser and the same thing will happen. If we reduced the amount of phosphorus there would be less algae and slime.

My opinion...
I reckon that if we had less farms around the rivers the rivers would be less piloted.
Instead of using fertilizer they could just use organic fertilizers like soil and compost.

Hello. last term we went to timbernook which is in stony creek.
we had to split up into 3 groups we named them. nature bird,savage tree snake and apple tree shovelers. one of the activities we did was that we had to make a statue out of thing around us.plus=what we like,negative=what was bad,interesting=what was interesting.

Today we did some science we did acids and bases. first we blended some cabbage and sifted the chunks out.then we went out to the field and put vinegar and soda in it. if you put the vinegar in first it turned pink. if you put the soda in first it turned blue.
last of all if you put lots of soda it turns blue.

Kowhai art

Last week we did some Kowhai art about us. There is a picture at the end.

The big corues are my grandmother and grandad. The second ones are my mam and dad. and you have probably guest the 3rd ones are me and two brothers. and small ones are my three cats and one dog. The one at the top is wind because my dad has five remote control air plans. Last of all the ones in the middle are waves because I like to serf.

Problem:The Get Ready Get Thru website says that we need a emergency survival kit and the top of the list is torch and spare batteries. At Electronics I am going to design and make an emergency light for myself.

Tech challenge

Last term we did a tech challenge. We had to make a paper bridge that could hold a weight. We go 1 meter of tape and 5 sheets of newspaper.

Hello. Around 2-3 months ago we had sign language. First we learnt how to say some simple things and then our names. In the end we played a game. 

The hidden temple

Last week we did free writing to get an idea went onto pobbile365 and they have pictures and you write a story about it and this is what i wright enjoy.

We need to go on a holiday but where said jack. What about the mystery jungle we can stay at the 5 starred hotel. Ok then to the mystery jungle. They arrived there the next day. Let's explore the jungle ok. They wandered into the jungle I think I can see a stone building up ahead. It’s a temple usually there is a treasure in them. Let's go in ok. As soon as they stood in the door shut and didn’t open. So they walked in when all of a sudden a arrow went straight past max's face. Trapes said lucian their are probably more there must be more. Look a pressure plate max rold a apple over it instantly a laser beam hit the apple and split it. Come on then there was a creaking noise and a giant axe came out of the wall and smashed into the wall on the other side. Then the ground fell apart and the next thing they knew they were on a slide and landed in a room. Then one of the walls fell down. They walked on till they saw a wand and next to it a pile of gold and diamonds. They looted the temple when all of a sudden the temple started to shake the temple was going to kill apes they had to get out and fast. When all of a sudden they fell onto a slide and came out of the temple and walked back to the hotel the end!

For around 3 weeks we have been making and designing our mama mia pizza. you could choose what shape and ingredients and if you wanted a challenge you could do stuffed crust. I did staffed crust. sam and I made a face. olives for the eyes a hole for the nose onion for the sweet bbq sauce and ham for mouth and cheese for the stuffed crust.

The mega explosion

3 weeks ago we had to write a story about a picture of a big flame of fire so I called mine the mega explosion and this is what I wright enjoy.   

 The mega explosion

It was a normal day at the volcano, everyone was having lots of  fun and relaxing. When all of a sudden a  bomb landed in the middle of the volcano. Every one started to panic so much that there was a big car crash that made a giant explosion. Which blew up the bomb.

then It was the end!

But there were some people on the moon and they saw the world explode so they had to go to a new planet and fined a special diamond that will revive the planet earth.

They had to go to a planet named planet of doom. It was 10000000 km away from where they were  it took 5 days to get their.

When they got their they looked everywhere but they could not find it . all of a sudden the ground started to shake and then the diamond came out of the ground. They took it back to earth and all of a sudden the small pieces of the earth that were lying around connected back  back and not just that but the earth had a giant shield so it wouldn’t explode again. Everyone came back to life and they become heroes.

for the day we made some sculptures and we had to show feelings I did sadness but it turned out to look like a creeper in minecraft. but it still showed sadness after one week we sanded them down to get all the scratches of and lines. here is one of them.

  

kiwiana homework

Around the 4th week of school we had to make something kiwiana for homework so I made a fake hokey pokey ice cream It made me hungry because it was so big and it looked so real and I beet it will make you hungry to.

Art exhibition

3 weeks ago we went to an art exhibition because we were going to have one at school. First we went to a art exhibition in hastings Then we went to the museum in hastings there was lots of art that I liked but my favorite painting was made of little dots.

house design

last week we had to make a house design for maths first we had to draw the house out of shapes then we had to cut it out then color it in and glue it on a black piece of paper.

For the first few weeks of this term we have been making catapults out of a piece of wood 2 nails 1 staple nail 1 spoon and 6 rubber bands.
this was my score.I was going to shoot a spoon but I didn't have much time.

Term 1 Art

For the last few weeks we have been making lots of art. The first thing that we did was glue some colored paper on a piece of paper to make a picture.

The second thing that we made was that we took a picture and cut it in half then we drew it again.

And last of all we had to draw a picture and then put a black piece of paper underneath and then poke holes where we drey and when you hold it up to the window when it is sunny the sun comes through the holes.
